Did you hear the news? We recently partnered with The One Co. Foundation in the Homes of Hope Project. This is an initiative in partnership with Mission Australia to break the cycle of homelessness.
The Need
In Australia, on any given night 1 in 200 people are homeless, with this figure expected to rise by 9,000 people due to the economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. Homes of Hope focuses on early intervention and prevention of homelessness.
The Objective
Homes of Hope provides three to nine months of accommodation along with intensive support and living skills programs to help homeless families move towards a bright future of independent and safe living. The goal is to help vulnerable Australians build a safe, bright future, one that is full of hope.
The Impact
We understand that there are deeper issues connected to homelessness. By focusing on the core causes of homelessness – such as domestic violence and mental health – Homes of Hope can help prevent the recurrence of homelessness and break the cycle. Ultimately, we want to provide families with a hope for their future.
Partnering with the One Co. Foundation and the Homes of Hope Project is very important for us as a business, at the very heart of what we do is to help our customers create a warm and safe home environment. The increased statistics around homelessness are alarming. We wanted to make an impact and ensure our funds were going to directly assist the homeless, not just with accommodation, but also their health and well-being. Giving back has always been a big part of our company ethos. We knew when we came across One Co. that this partnership would help us to do more; with more purpose, and more impact!
About One Co. Foundation
One Co. equips and empowers business owners with custom charitable initiatives that are simple and easy to implement. One Co is a registered charity that receives donations from businesses to then finance life-changing projects. Put simply, One Co. Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation that is much like a funnel. They receive and collect funds and then distribute funds to their ‘on the ground’ local partners.
What does this mean practically?
The goal is to help disadvantaged families that need assistance with accommodation, either through homelessness or fleeing a domestic situation.

That is why proceeds from our monthly sales will go towards providing at least 60 nights of safe and warm accommodation for families in need over the next twelve months.
